Ben Cartwright's poetry appears in Seneca Review, DIAGRAM, West Branch, and The Stinging Fly. His audio recordings of the poets Kenneth Irby, Fred Moten, and Rachel Blau DuPlessis are included in the PennSound archive. Ben's debut poetry collection After Our Departure won the 2016 Powder Horn Prize judged by Nance Van Winckel and was published by Sage Hill Press in 2016. His poetry chapbook The Meanest Things Pick Clean was published by Floating Bridge Press in 2017. Ben is an English faculty member at Spokane Falls Community College, and he also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Science Fiction at the Center for the Study of Science Fiction at the University of Kansas.
