The Phoenix Block Reading Series endeavors to promote literary writers living in Montana, and offer Butte residents an opportunity to hear those authors read and discuss their works. The 2015 cycle brought 14 writers to Butte.  For the Montana Book Festival, we will be hosting writers from Butte: Colin Cote, Fred Giacomino, Matthew Haynes and Caroline Patterson.

Colin Cote lives and works in Butte, Montana. He is a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville, MN. He writes poetry and short fiction.

Fred Giacomino

Fred Giacomino leads an uneventful life as public servant in Butte, Montana where he was born and raised. He is a University of Montana graduate and his poems have appeared in EDGZ, Poesia, and Educe Literary Journal.
