Jackie Bussjaeger is a graduate student in the Environmental Studies program at the University of Montana, with a focus in writing. She is especially interested in science writing and science communication. Originally from White Bear Lake, Minnesota, her passion for the environment is inspired by the wild lakes, woods, and prairies of her home state. Before coming to Montana, she worked as a community news reporter with a penchant for writing stories about the fascinating intersections where people meet nature. She continues to work as a freelance writer and editor.
