Chandra Brown

Chandra Brown is co-editor of Camas Magazine. She is a second-year Master's candidate in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana, where she writes and reads mostly about cold places and cold rivers. Though she still spends a fraction of each year in her beloved home state of Alaska, Chandra now finds herself at home on rivers en route to the sea, most of them a little south of the 60th parallel. Chandra works as a raft guide in Grand Canyon, teaches university Spanish, and works remotely with the Ecuadorian Rivers Institute to preserve ecologically important tributaries to the Amazon.
