Lena Viall is a Missoula-based freelance writer.  A graduate of the University of Montana’s Creative Writing department, she has been published in Oval, Bugle, Montana Naturalist, the Montana Journalism Review and on Montana Public Radio.  Lena’s upbringing, on the Viall family farm north of Miles City,  instilled in her a deep love for Montana’s rural way of life and the distinctive people that call this place home.  She spends her days as the Development and Communication Coordinator for Five Valleys Land Trust, in Missoula.
