Rita Collins is a believer in community and calls the Tobacco Valley in northwest Montana home. Over six decades, she has lived in nine states and three countries, and remains a consummate traveler. Her career centered on teaching from primary grades to graduate school in the US and abroad.  She also works in the nonprofit sector. In 2015, Dr. Collins opened a traveling bookstore, which carries approximately six hundred volumes along with unique postcards and greeting cards in a van that goes down any road that beckons. St. Rita’s Amazing Traveling Bookstore has been at events from Portland, OR to Brooklyn, NY as well as at the Eureka farmers market, the Yaak River Music Festivaland the Lincoln County Fair.
